What is the difference between non-medical home care and home health?

Non-medical supports daily living, such as bathing, meal prep, companionship, safety monitoring. Home health is clinical and ordered by a physician.

How do I know if my loved one needs help at home?

Look for changes in mobility, hygiene practices, mood, safety, and appetite.

Do you offer both short and long term care?

I offer both. Some families need steady, weekly support. Some need monthly check-ins. Others only need help after surgery or when life gets overwhelming. I tailor my care to your situation.

Can you assist my loved one in an ALF?

Absolutely. That is their home and they can hire outside help. I would, of course, work with their facility guidelines and protocols.

What happens during the first visit?

I come to your home at the agreed upon time and date, learn about your needs, your routines, and your preferences. I assess safety concerns, go over meds or whatever we have agreed upon. We sign agreements and make a plan for the services and schedule. With all of that information, we create a care plan together. It's calm and simple and you are always involved.
